BEGINNING OF THE END CHAPTER 16

A light vessel landed outside of an old dilapidated base the landing zone became dusty while the engines settled down, a small swirl of dust and grit flung up in the air. The ramp of the vessel lowered and out came two, the taller one looked the same as Karvar with his widow’s peak, fierce features and eyes gray as a winter storm, the other was a very lithe lady slowly slinking her way down the ramp everything about her, from the fiery red hair to the rapid-fire auto pistols on her hip screamed trouble, she smiled when her eyes locked in on Trent who waited for them at the base entrance. ‘Welcome back to the old Basterrat enclave Hark’ Trent looked over at the lady ‘I know I have been away too long Silva’ Trent said, Silva, jumped on him for a long kiss and after a moment she drew away slightly, slapping Trent’s face.

BEGINNING OF THE END CHAPTER 15

Traveling through the waters of Rolshar we finally reached our destination twinkling in the distance. The tall glass tower of the Starlight came into view climbing out of the depths of the dark blue water. Spread around the tower were a range of domes, some contained landing craft indicating landing areas, and two large domes with the whole city inside.

The whole place looks like a giant crystal squid or jellyfish floating aimlessly.
Very majestic. We closed in on one of the landing areas and as we approached a large unbroken bubble, I could see no entrance, closing my eyes in anticipation, I braced myself for the evitable bone-crunching collision with the outer shell. Instead of death, I heard retro jets being used, allowing us to land perfectly on the pad. Having popped through the bubble with very little resistance and no damage. I looked back it must be some kind of shield like the ones used in starship docking bays, looking around my theory was confirmed by a light that ringed the pad this looked like the emitters holding the water at bay.

BEGINNING OF THE END CHAPTER 14

A few hours later packing bags mother called us back to make our way down to the blue seas of Rolshar, with a goodbye from the colonel and an honor guard, consisting of well dress individuals with Rosco in charge of the mini parade, Father spoke to the parade, some troops there fought alongside us and he acknowledged them. A few more exchanges from father and couple of them being joke’s, made the soldiers laugh others among the parade smiled.

Disembarking the ship inside a military carrier carrying nothing more than soldiers ready for a break. The vessel moved far enough away for our family to eventually see the Warfire from the outside, I saw scaring from the battle along its flanks. Both pirate vessels still connected to the Warfire undergoing repairs. I saw space suits floating around the vessels tinker away plugging gaps, the engineers moved like bees swarming its home.

BEGINNING OF THE END CHAPTER 13

A random laser shot missed Rosco’s head ‘fecker’ he cursed while firing back, two more men down with a stun net. Father had split the teams up taking me and Rosco with a few men towards the bridge. The Corporal took the rest down to the engineering section if they shut down the main power reactor, they would have no way of escape. Father led from the front staying ahead of our reduced squad. While the arrangements were being made, I used Kensei to pull the guys wrapped in the stun net into a small corner, out of any line of fire.
