BEGINNING OF THE END CHAPTER 9

That was amazing, I mean those illusions are so real I even felt exhausted and in pain, grandma is’ I jumped with excitement.
‘Amazing now will you calm down’ mother finished my sentence. Mother had rested her hand on my shoulder becoming calmer. We had all moved to the tactical room which was the central area of the ship. A display spun slowly in the center showing the capital in all its glory.

Father assumed the flight into space would give us time to relax after such an ordeal, my thoughts on that subject was the nervous looks the parents gave each other. Varak was in the corner still not understanding it wasn’t real. He was sulking a little, I saw.

BEGINNING OF THE END CHAPTER 8

Our ship came out of hyperspace Trent as always at the controls, before us Nelus a broken planet devoid of life. Coming back to this place brought a lot of painful memories. Nelus was once a beautiful world once filled with lush green pastures, trees, and unique wildlife away from the clutches of the empire, with the bonus at the time being far away from the great war.

Remembering my family settled here, wife Ariana and daughter Liza lived in a small house surrounded by fruit trees it was to be the safest place from it all.
It wasn’t to last the war hit the galaxy hard; the empire split down the middle; we held the line for more important strategic worlds to survive; I felt we could have held the great enemy at the core worlds. Instead, to save Catronia the Winter family pulled their fleet away, allowing a hole in our lines for the Grismons to retreat. The enemy headed to Nelus for its rich resources. Nelus and my family became a target the enemy lay waste to the planet and when the dust settled and the battle won nothing survived.

BEGINNING OF THE END CHAPTER 7

Moving along across blocks jumping to the next, we reached another archway, ‘you ready’ I asked Varak he gave me a thumb-up, and looking around, we both knew nothing would happen before we stepped through. I made the first move, passing under the archway nothing happened, Varak followed I glance up to see if something else came crashing down on our heads still nothing.

‘Move on to the next one,’ he said, getting ready to jump to the next path I halted the motion it went dark in the distance hiding the path again just after I heard something approach, a clanking noise, servos whining together it sounded familiar.

BEGINNING OF THE END CHAPTER 6

Later that day, after getting changed into more appropriate attire for our meeting at grandma’s we boarded the family ship Stormbreaker, a sleek-looking vessel with enough space to carry the family rooms to sleep in and a few passengers, a comfortable way to travel, The flight deck had four seats so we could all sit together when traveling, moving further back into the ship, there was a table, on it a tactical holo net showing the capital world and everything moving. I played with the display zooming in on station one where all the praetorians trained. One day, I might be on that station learning secrets, moving the image I found the moon base Kariuki, according to some of my father’s friends, they majored in the testing of ships and weapons creating new things to keep the empire safe.
